COMMON QUESTIONS

System maintenance with a defined scope.

Can you maintain a system built by another team?

We can assess the code, architecture, deployment, dependencies, and known issues before defining a handover scope. Confirm rights to the code and resources and arrange documentation and access. Missing materials, unsupported dependencies, or environment constraints can affect the effort required.

Does maintenance include new business features?

Maintenance can include diagnosis, defect fixes, dependency upgrades, and agreed operational checks. New modules, major changes, and additional integrations need separate assessment and agreement. Maintenance is not unlimited development.

How are incident response, recovery, and backups agreed?

Define support hours, incident severity, response channels, escalation contacts, and backup and recovery responsibilities according to system importance. Response and resolution times are different measures. Recovery also depends on the cause, data, and external dependencies; contractual service standards apply.
