Does hardware development deliver prototypes or production units?

Projects can include hardware architecture, PCB design, firmware, prototype debugging, and interface integration, with agreed stages and deliverables. Prototyping and production are separate stages. Manufacturing processes, supply chains, certification, and batch testing require separate assessment.

How can a device connect to business software?

Select communication methods from device interfaces and deployment conditions, then define device identity, data formats, permissions, and exception handling. Specify software integration and firmware work separately. Device connectivity must not bypass business-data permissions.

Are design files, firmware, and certification costs included?

The quotation should identify design files, firmware source or binaries, prototype quantities, test records, and usage rights. Confirm components, prototyping, certification testing, and production costs separately. Review target-market certification needs at project start; development does not guarantee certification.
